“Today is the day.” I said to myself as I jumped into the rocket. I waved goodbye to my family grinning from ear to ear. I had many things packed for my trip. I’ve wanted to go Mars since I was around 4. The ground shook causing me to fall over.

4 months later. I didn’t know it would take this long. I said to myself tugging out my hair. I’m already low on food! I bit my nails picking at the canned fruit. One and a half months later. “I’m low on water!” “I’m low on water!” I said running around the space ship. The last few days took ages to pass. It felt like years since I haven’t been flying. It was a warm Monday or Sunday morning. I wasn’t sure due to the fact that we didn’t bring a calendar. Its hard to keep track of the days! I opened my eyes to see land. “Land!” I screeched. I ran out almost forgetting my helmet.

As I jumped of the rocket I took a quick glance over to the other side of Mars. I saw mansions! Loads of them! The rich and famous people walked out of the mansions glaring at me. “Excuse me?” A tall women said in a posh voice. “Only the rich stay here.” She said scrunching up her nose looking me up and down in my scruffy clothes.

I looked at myself feeling embarrassed as the rich people laughed at me. “Us people only stay here when the virus is going on.” “We can’t risk getting sick.” Another snobby rich person said. “Virus?” I mumbled. “Yes virus, see as soon as you left around 2 weeks later a virus was called out.”

“Our rocket ships are 10 times faster then yours!”

I took a quick glance around Mars.  Everything was… ruined! Mansions, pools, sports cars and all the stuff we have on earth! My head drooped down wishing it was all a dream. I walked on and on until I saw a small pit of sand. “Maybe they haven’t found all the parts!” I said smiling.

It was the only part left of Mars without a mansion in sight.

Dear Diary, Today I was travelling to the Mars with my family.  We were travelling in the most powerful rocket known to man, the Saturn V.  The rocket really isn’t all that comfortable I kept getting neck burns off the seats when we travelled in super speed. I’m so glad we got to bring our dog fee but I think we will run out of food soon because she is eating everything on the rocket

Dear diary, We arrived at Mars and we were looking for life on Mars because we needed to see it with our own eyes to believe it!  The news had been reporting they found a lost city on Mars. We went for a little stroll on Mars today and my dad shouted over to tell us he found footsteps.  None of us believed him we thought we might have walked back on his own steps.  On a closer look we could see the steps went really far away.  The more we followed the steps the more there were. I can’t believe this but we actually found the lost city of Mars.

Dear diary, I didn’t have a great sleep last night I couldn’t wait to get up early to explore the lost city of Mars.  I got up so early this morning and woke everyone to come and explore the lost city.  My family were just like ‘ok get dressed so’ I can’t understand why they aren’t as excited me about this! My big brother brought a penknife just in case an alien jumped out at us.  There was no life to be seen but this must prove there is life on Mars.

Dear diary, Today was the last day of our trip to Mars. While my family were packing up to leave I snuck out to have one last look around the lost city for life.  I heard the noise around the corner I was standing on.  It started to get closer.  I hid in the building next to me a peeked out the window and saw my brother doing the same as me.  I’s so disappointed we didn’t find life on this trip but at least we found the lost city so there must be some life out there.

Mission on Mars.“We are about to send our 15^th astronaut to Mars,” said the head rocket scientist on the interview. Hopefully this one comes back,” He said under his breath. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 BLAST OFF!

As Bob looked out the window to see a dying blue and white marble, he thought he saw fireworks. Once he landed on the red planet he felt as though someone was watching him. As he wandered around planting seeds he noticed that there were already many plants and flowers already there. Just when he was about to get back in the rocket he was knocked out cold. When he woke up he was in a dark room with 13 other men and women, but weren’t there 14 others? He hears the trap door open and to his suprise he sees that it’s the 14^th astronaut. And then the astronaut reaches up to his face and pulls it off to reveal his real face, an alien face.

Hi, my name is Joe Barring and this is the story how I went to MARS!!! I was born in 2025.  That makes me 35 years old, I have a wife named Samantha and 2 kids Tod and Timmy. Tod is 11 and Timmy is 14.

Now it is 2060 we have robots that cleans up rubbish and all that stuff. I work for N.A.S.A as an astronaut and recently I went on a trip to MARS.

I got in the rocket ship, the commander said “321 BLAST OFF!!!” When I got there, I had a tea party with an alien. On the way back to earth my rocket crashed and disappeared into the night. I got knocked out. When I woke up my arm was stuck in a space rock on Jupiter. The only way I was able to get free was to cut my arm off!!

I thought to myself “should I really do this”. I decided to cut it, I got free and back to the rocket and made it back to earth.
