The Elephant
The elephant from our local zoo had escaped but it wasn’t long until we found him in the clothes store. “Hello there” said the elephant to the man behind the till who was too shocked to talk. “I was wondering if you had any clothes in the size 200. “ No” said the man regaining his nerve. “Thank you “said the elephant. Then the elephant saw the sign for the new mayor that gave him an idea. The next day he was standing on the stage no longer naked he had got special clothes, next to the opposing candidate. Who delivered a good speech. Then the elephant delivered his speech!

Firstly it is lovely to see your writing here again and you brought your sense of humor and imagination with you!
From escapee from the zoo to probable mayor in 100 words, that is some writing Daithí.
I loved the fact that the elephant was found by zookeeper in the clothes shop buying clothes which must have stunned onlookers, the politeness of the elephant, you would have thought the elephant would have been more like the bull in the proverbial china shop, the shock of the shop assistant to be serving an elephant and lets be honest the opposing candidate must have been dumbfounded to up against an elephant in the mayoral election.
Your 100WC had a sense of fun the whole way through but I was disappointed with one thing …….that it ended.
