Subject we are FAILING
To battalion leader Mac Cormaic
I am writing to tell you that were camping beside the river Bessy. We are low on all supplies. Our grenades are damp. We are low on ammunition. We have no fresh food. The Germans are getting closer and half our men have died in the last battle. We need reinforcements and supplies and lastly, we need WEAPONS like new machine guns and bayonets.

Gosh Patrick, it sounds like you are in a hopeless situation. You have, however, managed to write an excellent story of despair with clearly shown imagery and a real feeling for desperation and drama. Well done. I like the structure of this 100WC piece very much.
