100wc W36 – Ríona

The Story!

I was walking at the park when I saw a guy hunting in the bin for food. I went over to see him, but when I walked towards him, he ran away leaving his glasses behind him. He didn’t come back for them. I picked up the glasses, but when I started to look at them the man came out from behind the bin. He took the glasses for my hands and said “Leave now” that’s when I knew I should run, THE END” said the teacher “Ok kids was that a good story…

  1. Haigh Ríona,
Well done on your 100WC, I was n’t expecting the ending of the teacher closing the book and saying to the children, “The End. Ok, kids was that a good story?”
You really had me going I thought the man who owned the glasses was going to be up to no good. How clever are you to put a story in a story, very well done Ríona.
Great us of the prompt as the finally sentence in your story, a very sudden, effective and dramatic ending to a story.

  2. Hi Ríona That was a great 100 word challenge and a very clever and creative use of the prompt. Like Bernadette I wasn’t expecting that end to the story so well done you! You were also very imaginative in how you presented the man to your readers and as I read I was wondering if he left the glasses there on purpose to try and catch someone but then I came to your magnificent ending. Excellent writing for the 100 word challenge this week. Maith thú!
