Rounders
One day my family and I and friends went to a field to play rounders. When we got there my dad set it up. Then we picked the teams. We flipped a coin to see who would go first. Then we started to play. I was the youngest so I went first. I hit the ball and…that’s when I knew I should run …I ran to first base then we played on. My team won and we go ice-cream to celebrate. I got chocolate then I went home.
What an excellent use for this week’s prompt, Luisa. Rounders is just perfect for it! I love the way you have painted a picture of a community activity, explaining how it was organised, how the game was played and then the reward at the end. Everything follows in a nice, logical order.
Haigh Luisa,
Well done for using the prompt in a positive way, as people’s first thought when they see that is you have to be running from something not towards something ie. getting a run in rounders, very clever twist on it.
I loved the whole picture you created a group event outside, all enjoying it and ice cream and chocolate for afterwards.
Your writing was clear, concise , a simple idea presented with a sense of enjoyment and happiness.
Well done Luisa, I really enjoyed your 100WC.
CONGRATULATION LUISA ON BEING INCLUDED IN THE INTERNATIONAL 100WC SHOWCASE.
YOU MUST BE SO THRILLED AND PROUD OF YOUR PIECE OF WRITING.
