100wc W31 – Daithí

The robber with a secret

Yesterday my house was robbed by a something that teared down our door with brute force stole thing expensive and ran away. No evidence was found except a lump of hair that appeared to be of a dog. The robber stole my phone which had a tracking app so my mum can find me wherever I am. We followed the phone to a field and waited for the robber to return. A few minutes later we heard footsteps I saw the robber sit down in front of the full moon and a few seconds later I could see why, he’s a werewolf! Suddenly he ran towards us. I was scared, I ran. To be continued…..

  1. Haigh Daithí,
Firstly I loved the title of your 100WC.
Your opening line really got my attention, a robbery, brute force damage and expensive property missing, this just said to me,”Read on read on”. I loved the idea of using technology to solve the problem of the stolen property, it made me smile because these days technology is being a friend to many and helping many people, so to see that turn up in your story was very apt.
I wasn’t sure how you were going to get the picture prompt in but you did it, I actually went back to the picture to make sure there was a full moon, I’m such a stickler!
    Well done Daithí.

  2. Hi Daithi,
Well done on your story this week. I really enjoyed your writing. You have used some great vocabulary and describing words.
I like how you ended your story on a cliff hanger…you left me wanting to know what happens next!
    Well done again.

  3. Hi Daithí, well done again on another very good 100WC with lots of descriptions, imagination and suspense! Keep up the good work.

  4. I really like this piece Daithí, especially the way it unravels to reveal the robber is a werewolf. Great use of the prompt, combining the imagery associated with a full moon.

Great imagination and well written using lots of adjectives.

I really like the idea of the tracking device! I would love to know what happens next, especially if you can outrun the werewolf!

    Keep up the great writing.
