One day a man found a book about how to find diamonds. He decided to make a company called EA, which stands for Electronic Arts of diamonds. EA were a very annoying company. They made this thing where you spend loads of money on a box which had a chance of having a diamond in it, but those chances were near to none. They called them “lootboxes”. People were very upset when they lost money on lootboxes. Once a woman even said that she found a diamond in hers, but then it sprouted legs and sprinted away. So, EA started to make video games instead.

  1. Hi Liam,
So that’s how the EA came to be founded or is it?
I thought you did a great job on the 100WC, you even managed to get the prompt of sprinted in to your story, that is such a funny vision- the delight of winning of diamond and then for it to sprout legs and run away. You showed a great sense of humor in your story also when you called the product “lootboxes”, loot meaning prize, spoils, swag etc but it has a second meaning of to rob, steal, raid etc. what a very clever play on the word where the people buying these boxes really in with a chance of winning a diamond or were they being robbed blind. I think it is the second.
What a clever piece of work Liam.
