I was in the trenches, ready to fire at the Germans. I was just climbing up the ladder with my riffle, when the general tapped me on the shoulder. “Here this is for you” and he handed me a letter, “Thank you sir” I replied. “You can stop to read your letter if you wish” he added. I came down and handed him my riffle then I went to read my letter. (this is what it said )
