The Big Match

It was the National Schools’ Cup Final. Owlston School vs St. Bridget’s of Newbridge. I was playing striker for Owlston. The game started. I got the ball 30 yards from goal. I looked to see who was in the box when I saw a man wearing a jumper bearing my favourite club’s crest. “A scout” I thought. I drilled my foot at the ball and it hit the back of the net!!! Then I saw the camera. I called my friend’s name, ran over and kissed the lens. We seemed to be on the television!!! The man wrote something on his notepad. We won the game 1-0 .
